St Mary’s Church Pembridge Window Restoration Update

Feb 19, 2021 | Church News, Pembridge

Pembridge Church has received a financial boost of £18,500 from the government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund to help fund restoration to four of our historic windows during the coronavirus pandemic.

Lifeline grants from the Culture Recovery Fund are designed to protect heritage sites and ensure that jobs and access to culture and heritage in local communities are protected during the months ahead.

The grant comes at a crucial point as the windows have been deteriorating and have become no longer weatherproof, and much of the lead work has weakened.

We were delighted to receive this generous funding thanks to the government’s Culture Recovery Fund as it will make a significant difference to the preservation of our much loved, historic building so that we can continue to be here for you and Here For Culture.
